- External services
Google Fonts
We use so-called web fonts from Google India Private Limited, No 3, RMZ Infinity – Tower E, Old Madras Road, 4th & 5th Floors, Bangalore, Karnataka 560016, India (“Google”) to display fonts.
When you access a page, your browser loads the web fonts required so that it can display text and fonts correctly. For this purpose, your browser makes a connection to Google, as a result of which Google is informed that our website has been accessed via your IP address.
Google Fonts are used in the interest of a consistent and appealing presentation of our website. If your browser does not support Google Fonts or web fonts, a standard font will be used by your end device.
You will find further information about Google Fonts and Google’s privacy policy at the following web address:
The legal basis for the processing of personal data when using Google Fonts is Art. 6(1) Section (f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
- Analysis services
We use various tracking services for purposes of the appropriate design of the website, measurement of reach, analysis of general user behaviour on the website and optimisation of our commercial operations.
We create user profiles for purposes of marketing, market research and the appropriate design of our telemedia. In accordance with relevant guidelines in India, these are created and managed exclusively using a pseudonym, provided that you have not objected to this procedure as a user. The user profiles are never combined with data about the individual behind the pseudonym.
- Cookies
Function and types of cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer by your browser. They contain various pieces of information, e.g. the duration of your website visit and user inputs. They may be provided both by us as the website provider (so-called first-party cookies) and, in the case of collaboration with third parties, by those third parties (so-called third-party cookies) and for various periods of storage (duration of use of the site, or for several weeks or years). You can restrict or prevent cookies from being saved and read, but you will then be unable to use all the functions of the website.
First-party cookies
Our website uses so-called “session cookies”. They are used to store relevant data about the website visit or to recognize your computer during your visit and when you return (e.g. easier password input). These cookies ensure that you can use all the technical functions of the website. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1) Section (f) GDPR.
Third-party cookies
Insofar as we use cookies for third-party services, we provide you with specific information about their use and the scope of the information collected in the following sections on the respective third-party service providers.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google for the purposes of user-based web design, to analyze general user behavior on the website, and to optimize our business operations.
Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” to enable the analysis of your use of this website. The information stored by the cookie about your website use is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The transfer of personal data takes place on the basis of standard data protection clauses. We have also taken additional technical measures to ensure an equivalent level of data protection for the transmitted personal data. We use IP anonymization on this website, meaning Google shortens your IP address within India before it is further transmitted or used. In exceptional cases, a full IP address may be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google uses this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.
You can find more information about Google’s data usage, settings, and opt-out options on Google’s website:
- https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites (“How Google Uses Information From Sites or Apps That Use Our Services”)
- https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads (“Advertising”)
- https://adssettings.google.com/ (“Ad Personalization”)
The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data by Google. You can prevent the use of cookies by adjusting your browser software accordingly. However, if you disable cookies, you may not be able to use all the functions of our website.
You can also prevent Google from collecting data stored on cookies related to your website use (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the following browser plug-in: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
We also use “Google Ads,” an online advertising program provided by Google Marketing Services. Every Google Ads customer (i.e., every website operator) receives a unique “conversion cookie.” These cookies cannot be tracked through Google Ads customers’ websites, i.e., we cannot carry out our own analysis of the information provided by the conversion cookie. The information retrieved is used to create so-called conversion statistics for our website. This means evaluating previously defined actions a user has carried out on the website. Google reports the total number of users who have clicked on an ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. We do not receive any information that allows us to personally identify a specific user. We also use Google Analytics to evaluate data from Google Ads and the DoubleClick cookie for statistical purposes. If you do not want AdWords evaluation to be used, you can deactivate the service in Google Ads’ settings (http://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/).
- Social Media
On the basis of Art. 6(1) Sentence 1 Section (f) GDPR, we use links to the social networks Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube on our website to raise the profile of our company.
These are not links that do not require consent pursuant to Art. 6(1) Section (a) GPDR. Responsibility for ensuring operations in accordance with data protection lies with the respective provider. Social media buttons are integrated using a solution that prevents connection to a social network as soon as a page with a social media button is opened without clicking on that button. This means that no information is transmitted to the social network until you click on the button.
